Carlos reached the final of the Australian Open at the age of just 22. So Djokovic is the oldest player to make it to the final of the Australian Open. However, Alcaraz created history by defeating Djokovic and won the Australian Open 2026.

Djokovic overpowered Alcaraz in the very first set and took the lead in the first set. Djokovic showed his aggression in the beginning of the match and won the first point. After this, Alcaraz also made a comeback and scored one point to level the set.

Djokovic played brilliantly in the first set of the men's singles final of Australian Open 2026. He won this set 6-2. Alcaraz appeared very slow in the first set itself and Djokovic took full advantage of it. However, in the second set, world number-1 player Alcaraz made a brilliant comeback and won the set 6-2.
