Ayush University: Digital Museum Will Be Built In The Auditorium, Rare Ayurveda Medicines Will Be Preserved.

Dialogue source, Bhathat. Rare medicines of Ayurveda will be preserved in the auditorium of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University. For this, a plan is being prepared to set up a digital museum. Rare medicinal plants will be preserved in live form in the museum. With this, students as well as the general public will be able to get complete information about the students. Auditorium is being constructed in Ayush University. Its work is expected to be completed by March 2026.

The university administration has prepared a plan to build a digital museum within it. Vice Chancellor Dr K Ramachandra Reddy said that the common people are not aware of the rare medicines of Ayurveda. Live plants will be kept for the educational needs of AYUSH students and to create awareness among the general public. A detailed description of each plant related to its properties, uses, medicinal importance and methods of conservation will be displayed. Apart from this, samples of rare medicines will also be displayed in the museum.

He said that with this initiative, researchers and common people visiting the university will also be able to get acquainted with the rich tradition of Ayurveda. The main objective of the museum is to conserve rare medicines and increase awareness among people about them.

The Vice Chancellor said that many medicinal plants including Shilajit (a rare medicine obtained from the rocks of the Himalayas), Murva (a medicinal creeper), Ashwagandha, Addusi, Vasa, Danti, Pipli, Chitrak, Ashoka, Madhukari, Lodhra, Bahera, Nagod or Nirgundi, Sheonak will be preserved in live form in the museum.

Along with this, there is a plan to import special medicinal plants from the mountains of Uttarakhand to give the museum a more grand and divine look. This digital museum will prove to be an important step towards saving the invaluable heritage of Ayurveda.
