Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. The police have filed charge sheets in the court in all the 10 cases registered by the police in the disturbance case. In this, 10 major points have been mentioned including beheading, petrol bomb and acid attack on police. All these points will prove important in getting strict punishment to Maulana Tauqeer Raza and his associates in the court.
On September 26, Maulana Tauqeer Raza had created a disturbance in the city under the guise of I Love Muhammad poster of Kanpur. In this case, 10 cases were filed by the police in Kotwali, Baradari, Premnagar, Kila and Cantt police stations. Out of these, investigation of two cases of attack on police was handed over to the Crime Branch.
Now the police and crime branch have filed charge sheets in all the 10 cases, in which 10 major points like 'decapitation' slogan, attack on police with acid and petrol bombs, leadership of rioters involved in the disturbance, misleading the police-administration by circulating fake letter on behalf of Maulana's close Nadeem, firing on police, damaging government property, inflammatory posts on internet media, CCTV etc. have been included. Which is going to prove important in getting Maulana and his associates punished.
Baradari police arrested another accused of disturbance
The police have again started the process of identifying and arresting the accused involved in the disturbance. On Saturday, Baradari police also arrested Yunus, resident of Chak Mahmood. His name came to light after the incident, but so that the police could not arrest him, he absconded. The police was searching for him for a long time. After arresting him on Saturday, he was sent to jail.
