Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. To improve the traffic system of the city, BDA has started brainstorming on the plan for development of eight lanes of Pilibhit Bypass Road. For this, a blueprint is being prepared to implement the encroachment and other development plans identified by PWD.
It is believed that this week NOC can also be sought from the Forest Department for translocating the plants. BDA is likely to spend more than Rs 130 crore to convert the route into eight lanes. The Divisional Commissioner has suggested to develop the proposal of widening of the road from Satellite to Bada Bypass, which has been pending for a long time in the government, from the local level itself.
BDA is being given the main responsibility for this. BDA has intensified the brainstorming on the proposal made by PWD for the project from Satellite to Barrier 2. For this, efforts have been started by the engineers to implement the proposal sent by PWD.
BDA Vice President Dr. Manikandan A. According to this, more than Rs 130 crore will be spent. He expressed the possibility that if everything goes well, the construction would be started by inviting tender process this month.
Dohra Road will also be widened
According to BDA Vice President, along with Pilibhit Road, widening of Dohra Road is also being planned by BDA. With the widening of this road, transportation between Ramganga Nagar Residential Scheme and Greater Bareilly will become quite accessible. For this, the service road will also be kept completely open for the general public.
BDA will widen without acquisition, encroachments will be demolished
The eight-lane road from Satellite to Barrier Two will be built without land acquisition. For this, availability of sufficient land has been stated by PWD. During this period, PWD and BDA can definitely run a joint campaign to demolish the encroachments coming during road widening.
An action plan has been shared by PWD for eight-laning of Pilibhit Bypass Road. BDA is brainstorming about the development of the project, soon advance action will be taken to finalize it.
