Bihar Inter Exam 2026: 12th Exam Completed, 71 Candidates Expelled, 14 Cheaters Caught

Jagran correspondent, Patna. The Inter Annual Examination 2026 conducted by Bihar School Examination Board was concluded on Friday. A total of 13 lakh, 17 thousand 846 candidates appeared in the examination conducted in two shifts from February 2 to 13 at 1,762 centers across the state. Six lakh, 75 thousand 844 girl students and six lakh 42 thousand two boy students participated in it.

This time during the examination period, a total of 71 candidates from 20 districts were expelled on charges of misconduct. Nawada remained at the forefront in the district wise figures, where maximum 27 candidates were expelled. Now the evaluation work will start from 27th February. On the last day of Inter examination, examination of various subjects was conducted under additional subject group.

According to the data released by the committee, action was taken against six candidates each in Jehanabad and Gopalganj, four in Supaul, while three each in Madhepura, Bhagalpur, Araria, Rohtas and Bhojpur. Two candidates each were expelled from Arwal and Nalanda, while one candidate each was expelled from Gaya, Katihar, Siwan, Patna, East Champaran, West Champaran, Saran, Shivhar, Lakhisarai. The number of evictions from other districts remained zero.

Six fake candidates caught in Nawada

14 fake candidates were also caught during the examination. Of these, six fake candidates were caught from Nawada, two from Nalanda, while one each from Sheikhpura, Gaya, Saharsa, Rohtas, Lakhisarai and Samastipur. Last year, in the 2025 Inter examination, 140 candidates were expelled and 16 fake candidates were caught.

There was a reduction in the cases of eviction and fraud this year. This time 69 less candidates were expelled as compared to last year. Last year 16 fake candidates were caught and this year 14 fake candidates were caught.
