Jagran correspondent, Baghpat. Even before reaching the first wife's house, the groom left for Aligarh for the second marriage. He had an inkling that his first wife was going to arrive here soon. He left the marriage procession, got into the car, changed the street and went away. The police detained the groom's father and interrogated him. A woman from Meerapur police station area of Muzaffarnagar told the police on Sunday that she was married to a young man resident of a locality of Baghpat Nagar about 14 years ago. Her in-laws started taunting her for not having a child. There was dispute in the house. Due to this, her husband gave her triple talaq before Bakrid.
A case was registered in this regard at Meerapur police station. Her husband is preparing for second marriage with a woman from Aligarh. The police took his complaint seriously. The police along with the woman reached her husband's house, where they found the wedding procession, but the groom had already gone for the marriage ceremony.
The police brought the woman's father-in-law to the police station, who informed that the son had given triple talaq to his wife. After this, the daughter-in-law filed a case against him in Meerapur police station. He has been granted bail in this case. The police released him. After this he went to his son's wedding procession.
