Jagran correspondent, Kolkata. The convoy of Leader of Opposition in Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari was attacked on Chandrakona Road in Ghatal, West Medinipur in Bengal on Saturday. The officer has accused Trinamool Congress workers of the attack.
After this incident, there was a fierce fight between the workers of BJP and Trinamool Congress. Many people got injured. Suvendu sat down at Chandrakona police station to protest against this incident and demand the arrest of the accused.
The officer alleged that Trinamool Congress workers attacked BJP workers. According to the information, this incident occurred when BJP workers were standing to welcome Suvendu while returning from Purulia.
Suvendu Adhikari along with BJP workers protested at Chandrakona police station against this incident. He has lodged an FIR against nine people in the police station. No response has been received from Trinamool Congress yet in this incident.
