Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation itself is polluting the river and road. photo awakening
Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. The Municipal Corporation Administration is continuously issuing orders with appeal regarding the cleanliness of the urban area. Will impose fine for open defecation, throwing excreta, burning garbage and spitting. At the same time, fine is also being imposed for throwing garbage in rivers and drains. But the Municipal Corporation itself is polluting the river banks and roads. The corporation that collects fine from others is not improving its own system.
Swachh Bharat Mission was put on hold because garbage is deposited at many places, be it main roads or streets of urban areas. Roads were turned into garbage dumping points. Whereas the aim is to create a garbage free city on the basis of cleanliness survey. But, if you pass through any route in the city, you will find heaps of garbage. At the same time, waste is transported in uncovered tractors. Due to which the atmosphere is getting polluted.
At the same time, garbage is being dumped on the banks of river Ganga at Mushari Ghat. Due to dumping of garbage for a long time, the coastal area is covered with filth. The same amount of water from the city's drains is being discharged directly into the Ganga. However, in this case, Solid Best Management Officer Shashi Bhushan Singh says that cleaning resources are being purchased along with 50 big dustbins to keep the garbage.

Effort to beautify the city by taking suggestions from people, sought online feedback
The Corporation has made its own model RFP provided by the Urban Development Department to improve the cleanliness system of the urban area. For the first time, the corporation has sought feedback on an action plan. During the cleanliness survey, the central team takes feedback from the city residents. On this basis the suggestions of the city residents will be incorporated.
Now the model has been uploaded on the corporation's portal to give feedback on the draft. The corporation will incorporate the better suggestions of the city residents. An action plan has been prepared with about 2600 manpower and large scale cleaning resources. On this basis the new agency is to be selected.
