Bihar Weather Update: Icy Westerly Winds Lash Bihar, 'Yellow Alert' Issued For Dense Fog In 11 Districts

Jagran correspondent, Patna. There is an influence of Kankani due to fog along with Pachhua in the state. According to Meteorological Center Patna, due to icy wind, the effect of Kankani is likely to persist day and night.

During the next 24 hours, a yellow alert has been issued regarding dense fog in 11 districts of the northern and southern parts of the state, namely East and West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Buxar, Bhojpur, Bhabua, Rohtas, Arwal and Aurangabad.

Chances of drop of two to three degrees

The speed of the westerly is expected to be 30-40 km per hour. During the two days, the night temperature is expected to be between 10-15 degrees Celsius and the day temperature is expected to be between 22-28 degrees Celsius. The temperature is expected to drop by two to three degrees in two to three days.

The effect of Kankani will continue as the temperature drops. On Wednesday, the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Sabour of Bhagalpur at 9.0 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature in Patna was 14.4 degrees Celsius. Visibility in Gayaji was recorded at 100 metres.

Light cold effect in the morning and evening

The maximum temperature in the capital was 24.8 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature was recorded in Motihari with 27.5 degrees Celsius. With the increase in the speed of the west wind, the effect of mild cold continued in the morning and evening in the surrounding areas including Patna.
