In order to provide jobs to the unemployed in companies, a district level employment fair has been organized by the Labor Resources Department, Employment Exchange on Thursday at the Government Girls Inter Level School for students who have passed matriculation. Various companies of the country including Bhagalpur have been invited to this fair. The target of this district level fair is to provide employment to more than six hundred youth in companies. Preparations have been completed.
This year the department aims to provide jobs to more than 3500 youth in various companies. Compared to last year, this time work is being done to provide jobs to more than one thousand youth in companies through employment fairs and job camps. According to the Planning Department, two planning fairs were organized in the financial year 2023-24. In which 1881 candidates were selected in various companies. Whereas 769 youth got jobs in 81 job camps.
A placement fair has been organized for students who have graduated from matriculation.
Two planning fairs were organized in the year 2024-25. In which 1369 candidates got employment in various companies and 493 candidates got employment in 64 job camps. At the same time, a planning fair has been organized so far for the financial year 2025-26. In which 1562 youth got jobs in companies. Whereas 725 youth have been selected in various companies in 49 job camps. Tausif, Assistant Director of District Planning, Labor Resources Department, said that the candidates will be selected on the basis of interview in the district level planning fair.

In the planning fair, students from matriculation to post graduation can apply for jobs in various companies. No one has to pay any fee for forms etc. The fair has been organized from 10 am to 4 pm. He said that in the financial year 2025-26, this time a target has been set to provide jobs to more than one thousand youth in companies compared to last year. Initiatives are being taken towards providing employment to three and a half thousand youth.
