Jasan, Sitamarhi. Three children of the same family died due to drowning in a water-filled pit in Barharwa village of Bajpatti police station area on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Juhi Dafali's daughter Shabana Khatoon (15), son Salauddin (11) and her grandson Ehsaan 9, residents of Barharwa village of Bajpatti police station area.
According to the information, on Tuesday afternoon the three children had gone for a walk in Sareh with the children of their neighborhood. During this time all the children started playing there. While playing, the children's feet slipped and all three children drowned in a pit filled with water. The children playing together went to the house and informed about this incident. After this the family members reached the spot. The search for the children was started after entering the water.
All three children were pulled out of the water. He was brought to Bajpatti Community Health Center for treatment where doctors declared him dead. Bajpatti Police Station President Amritpal said that as soon as information about the incident was received, Additional SHO of Bajpatti Police Station Pooja Kumari reached the spot with the police force. But the family members refused to conduct the post-mortem.
