Digital Desk, New Delhi. Air India has taken a big decision regarding flights going from Bengaluru and Mumbai to San Francisco. The non-stop service from Mumbai and Bengaluru to San Francisco is being stopped from March 1.

This decision of Air India has increased the concern of those passengers who had booked flight tickets for San Francisco after February 28.

Why did Air India take this big decision?

In Tata's airline Air India, this decision has been taken with the aim of flying more flights from Delhi to San Francisco and Toronto. Tata is now preparing to increase the number of flights from Delhi to San Francisco and Toronto to 10 flights a week.

Increasing the number of flights from Delhi to San Francisco is likely to impact the number of flights from Mumbai and Bengaluru. This could cause problems for professional and business travelers who depend on this non-stop service.

Air India changed time-table

Speaking to Times of India, an Air India spokesperson said that the airline is going to make some changes in its time-table, which will facilitate the passengers going to North America. Along with this, the costs incurred on airspace restrictions are also being managed.

Those passengers traveling from Bengaluru to San Francisco and Mumbai to San Francisco, who will be affected by the reduction in these flights, can be given an option. Along with this, Air India can also refund the full amount for the flights of these passengers.
