Family adamant on not performing last rites of woman before recovery of teenager
Meerut: In village Kapsadh of Sardhana police station area, the bullies of the accused Thakur community, on Thursday, challenging the law and order, attacked a Scheduled Caste woman Sunita with an axe, and kidnapped her minor daughter. The woman died in the hospital in the evening. After post-mortem, the body reached the village late at night. On Friday morning the relatives refused to perform the last rites. Narsi, son of deceased Sunita, said that first arrest the accused. After this the last rites will take place.

Case registered against branch and regional manager of bank in fraud
Bijnor: A case has been registered against three people including the bank manager and regional manager of Najibabad branch of State Bank of India on the orders of the court. It is alleged that the bank officials recovered more amount from the victim than the prescribed loan limit. Apart from this, even after the death of the victim, the pension amount continued to be deposited in the account with the connivance of the concerned department. On the orders of the court, the police have registered the case and started investigation.
Made women dance in the pavilion, when they came to stop them they abused the police
Bijnor: In a wedding procession located on Nahtaur Road of Jhalu, women artists danced without permission late at night and the music system was played at high volume. When the police reached the spot and tried to stop them, the organizers got into a scuffle with the police and pushed and abused them. The police stopped the program by using force and arrested the organizers Arun Kumar and Aman. Both have been challaned for disturbing peace.
Four accused caught stealing from goods bogie of Unchahar Express
Bulandshahr: Four accused, Anurag Khatik alias Anu, Kapil Khatik alias Bablu, Vikas Kumar and Vivek Kumar, residents of Haiderpur police station Shalimar, Delhi, who stole readymade clothes from the goods bogie of Unchahar Express, were arrested by the Railway Protection Force.
