Major action by police against drugs, 14 arrested.
Dialogue Associate, Firozpur. The district police has arrested 14 people as part of the campaign against drug sellers. A case has been registered after recovering 52.21 grams of heroin and other intoxicating substances from the possession of these accused.
ASI Darshan Singh of Police Station City arrested Akashdeep alias Aman Kaudi and Surjit Singh and recovered 10.13 grams and 10.8 grams of heroin from them respectively. Similarly, ASI Jaspal Singh of Sadar Firozpur police station caught Manjinder Singh alias Manny Baba with five grams of heroin. ASI Trilok Singh of Kulgari police station also arrested Manpreet Singh alias Mannu with five grams of heroin.
ASI Gurkanwaljit Kaur of Police Station Cantonment Firozpur arrested three persons for consuming heroin, from whom drug paraphernalia was recovered. Inspector Jaswinder of police station Talwandi Bhai arrested Mewa Singh, while ASI Nirmal Singh of police station Arifke caught Jaspal Singh alias Mannu with 1 gram of heroin.
ASI Mahesh Singh of Guruharsahay police station arrested Dilpreet alias Ritu with 8 grams of heroin. ASI Gaganpreet Singh of Zira Sadar police station caught Harpreet Singh with 4 grams of heroin. ASI Sukhdev Singh of Makhu police station arrested Zora Singh with 10 grams of heroin. Police have registered cases against all the accused and started further action.
