Digital Desk, Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh State Cyber ​​Police has taken a big relief initiative for the victims of cyber crime. Victims will now get 30 days to convert e-Zero FIR lodged in online fraud cases into regular FIR. Earlier it was mandatory to complete this process within just three days, due to which many victims got upset.

According to the state cyber police, it was often seen that victims were not able to reach the police station within three days due to busy schedules, technical difficulties or lack of information. Due to this the legal action got stuck. Keeping this problem in mind, the deadline has been extended to 30 days.

Now the concerned police station will issue a notice to the victim and call him, so that he can get the e-zero FIR converted into regular FIR within the stipulated period as per his convenience.

Process of e-Zero FIR: 5 easy steps

Complaint lodged – The victim complains about cyber fraud on 1930 helpline or NCR portal. Information about fraud of more than Rs 1 lakh directly reaches Bhopal Police Hub.

Automatic Generation – Complaint is automatically converted into e-Zero FIR through CCTNS.

FIR number issued – The victim gets the e-zero FIR number immediately.

Transfer to local police station – State cyber police sends the case to the concerned police station.

Regular FIR – The victim records the statement in the police station, for which now sufficient time of 30 days has been given.

This decision will not only reduce the suffering of the victims, but will also make the action against cyber crimes more effective and easier.
