Communication partner, Garhwa. A major revelation has come to light during the police investigation in the case of murder of a young man who was crushed by a car outside the Moon Disco Bar in Lalpur Chowk, Ranchi.
On the basis of CCTV footage, the police has clarified that the driver of the car who crushed Ankit Kumar Singh was Roshan Gupta. After the footage surfaced, the police have intensified action to arrest the accused.
Let us tell you that Ankit Kumar Singh, 26 year old son of Arun Singh, resident of Hariganwa village under Majhiyanv police station area of Garhwa district, was murdered on the night of January 4. The incident took place outside Moon Disco Bar located in Lalpur Chowk, Ranchi.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police thoroughly investigated the CCTV cameras installed in and around the incident site. It was revealed that the white colored car (JH 01 GD 2216) was being driven by Roshan Gupta and Ankit was deliberately crushed by the same car.
Police interrogated the family members of the accused
Police are continuously conducting raids after Roshan Gupta's role came to light in the CCTV footage. Accused Roshan Gupta is a resident of Kala Khajuri village under Badgad police station area of Garhwa district. On Tuesday, Garhwa police raided his house. He was found absconding. During this time, the police interrogated his parents and gathered information about Roshan's possible whereabouts.
Know what is the whole matter
On the night of January 4, around 9 pm, Satyaprakash Singh had gone to Moon Disco Bar with his nephew Ankit Kumar Singh and his friends. When they came out of the bar at around 12 o'clock in the night, people from another group started abusing and making objectionable comments.
On protesting, the dispute escalated and a fight broke out between the two parties. Meanwhile, Ankit and his friends were hit by a white car parked on the road, due to which Ankit was seriously injured. While his companion Akash Kumar was also injured.
After this, the accused again rammed the car and crushed Ankit and fled from the spot. Injured Ankit was taken to Sadar Hospital, Ranchi, from where he was referred to RIMS. Doctors in RIMS declared him dead.
Due to fear after the incident, the deceased's maternal uncle Satyaprakash Singh and his friends came to Garhwa with the dead body. Zero FIR was lodged in Garhwa police station on January 5. After this, post mortem of the body was done at Garhwa Sadar Hospital.
Documents related to the incident were sent to Lalpur police station, Ranchi for further action. The deceased's friend Arnav alias Sejal had already alleged the involvement of four-five others including Ramandeep Singh (Lesliganj, Palamu), Roshan Gupta, Anshul, Vicky Khan. CCTV footage has made clear the role of Roshan Gupta in the murder.
