Dialogue thread, Masharaq (Saran). The government has taken a tough stance to free government land from encroachment and illegal transfer. The government lands which have been frozen in wrong, suspicious or illegal manner in the past, will now be canceled in a phased manner. Keeping this entire process within the time limit, instructions have been given to quickly dispose of the cases pending for years.
This action is being taken in the light of the letter of the Principal Secretary of Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Patna. In this sequence, Zonal Officer of Mashrak Zone, Sumant Kumar has issued necessary guidelines to all the revenue employees and Zonal Amins.
He has made it clear that the “public land” of Bihar Government which has been wrongly or illegally collected should be identified without any delay.
According to the order issued, the concerned employees and zonal ministers will have to prepare detailed details of all such gatherings. Along with this, it has been made mandatory to make a proposal for cancellation by clearly stating the intention of the concerned revenue officer. This proposal will have to be prepared within a week and presented before the Circle Officer within the next ten days.
The department has given instructions to implement this campaign seriously, keeping it in the “very important” category. The Circle Officer has warned that if the proposal for cancellation of illegal or wrongly organized Jamabandi is not received within the prescribed time limit, then the entire responsibility for this will be held of the concerned Revenue Officer and Circle Amin. In such cases, departmental action can also be taken against the guilty employees.
