The administrative preparations for the Makar and Adhimas fair were reviewed on Saturday under the joint chairmanship of DM Kundan Kumar and SP Bharat Soni in the Hardev Bhawan auditorium located at the Collectorate. DM informed that Makar Mela will be organized in Rajgir from 14th to 20th January.
Bihar government has declared Makar Mela as a state fair. On this occasion, a large number of tourists and devotees reach Rajgir, take bath in various ponds and worship their East God. They also come to see Zoo Safari and Glass Bridge. During this period, competitions like dangal, kite flying, rangoli, agricultural exhibition and kabaddi etc. are held.
At the same time, information was given regarding the deputation of adequate number of police force, women police, magistrates and volunteers on the occasion of Adhimas fair. He said that in view of the crowd of tourists, special monitoring will be done at sensitive places.
The crowd will be monitored through CC cameras and drones. SP said that if any anti-social element thinks of spoiling the dignity of the fair, then the action will become memorable for him forever. The DM directed to make arrangements for transportation, parking and health etc. in advance.
When will which competitions be held?
Makar Mela, Fair will be held in the police station premises, Agricultural Fair Fair, on 14th January in the police station premises, Kite Competition on 18th January at Rajgir Guest House and Kite Exhibition Fair on 14th January in the Police Station premises, Maha Aarti, Brahmakund, Sant Samagam Yatra will be organized at Ramjanaki Temple, near the bus stand on 15th January.
At the same time, the dance competition will be held on 15th and 16th January in the east of Dhunivar, the football competition will be held on 15th and 18th January at the State Guest House ground and the volleyball competition will be held on 16th January at the State Guest House ground. Apart from this, Kabaddi competition will be held on January 17 at the State Guest House ground.
At the same time, the presentation fair of famous artists will be organized on January 16 at the police station grounds. Apart from this, gigs, quiz, athletics, milch cattle exhibition etc. will also be held on different dates.
