Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. The government has indicated to take a big step towards making the Panchayati Raj system in the state clean and accountable. Any kind of corruption from the lowest level to the top will now be strictly banned. Regarding this, a special monitoring cell will soon be formed in the Panchayati Raj Department, the process of which is going on at the departmental level. Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash said these things during the press conference held at Circuit House on Wednesday.
The Minister said in clear words that if any complaint is received about irregularities, irregularities or lack of quality in any scheme, construction work or process related to the department, then the information should be given directly to the department. If the complaint is found true, action is certain against the culprits. He said that now negligence in work will not be tolerated at the Panchayat level.
Government's special emphasis on strengthening village courts
At the same time, Minister Deepak Prakash said that special training will be given to Sarpanch, Panch, Panchayat Secretary and Justice Mitras associated with Village Court. Along with this, they will also be sent on exposure visit, so that they can learn from the better running Gram Kacharis at other places. The objective is that minor disputes should be settled in the village itself, so that people have to make less trips to the police station and court.
He said that common people will also be made aware to make justice accessible at the village level. By running a campaign on behalf of the department, it will be told which cases are possible to be resolved in the village court and how the application can be made there.
Apart from this, biometric attendance system will be started across the state to ensure the attendance of RTPS personnel working in Panchayati Raj Department. This will bring discipline in timely attendance and work.
The Minister assured that the Panchayati Raj system will be strengthened by keeping transparency, accountability and public interest at the center, so that the village government can truly work for the welfare of the village.
