Budget presented with the target of Bihar
Digital Desk, Patna. As soon as the proceedings of Bihar Assembly began, the Finance Minister laid the Budget 2026-27 on the table of the House. Based on the theme of 'Prosperous Bihar, Prosperous Bihar', the total size of this budget has been kept at Rs 3.44 lakh crore. Special emphasis has been laid in the budget on development, employment and strengthening the rural economy.
Preparation to give impetus to industry and employment
The government has made a provision of Rs 50 crore for the industrial sector to accelerate industrial development. With this amount, there is a plan to encourage new industries, attract investment and create employment opportunities for the youth. The budget also indicated support to startups and small scale industries.
Rural economy strengthened by market development
It has been announced to expand the Haat-Bazaar Development Scheme to increase business activities in rural areas. The government believes that by strengthening the market, farmers, small traders and local products will directly benefit.
Fourth agricultural road map, special focus on farmers
In the budget, emphasis has been laid on giving incentives to farmers under the fourth agricultural road map. New schemes will be introduced to improve agricultural production, irrigation, storage and marketing facilities, thereby increasing the income of farmers.
