Bihar Inspector Exam: Candidates Got Entangled In Current Affairs Questions, Scoring Remained In Mathematics.

Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. The written examination of Bihar Inspector recruitment was completed peacefully on Sunday amidst tight security arrangements at 21 examination centers located in the urban areas of the district. The examination was conducted in two shifts. The first shift ran from 10 to 12 in the morning and the second shift from 2:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon.

A total of 17,664 candidates were to appear in both the shifts, but only about 70 percent candidates appeared in the examination. According to the district administration, out of 8,832 registered candidates, 6,215 took the exam in the first shift, while 2,617 remained absent. In the second shift, 6,301 candidates appeared and 2,531 candidates could not appear in the examination. Thus, a total of 12,516 candidates appeared for the examination, while 5,148 remained absent.

A crowd of candidates was seen at the centers since morning regarding the examination. To monitor the security arrangements, Senior SP himself kept inspecting various examination centres. The centers for the candidates of Banka, Munger and Jharkhand were determined from the headquarters level. A process of multi-level checking, frisking and identity verification was adopted at all the centers before entry. The next exam will be held on January 21, in which 17,654 candidates will appear.

Candidates' opinion regarding the level of question paper

The candidates had mixed opinions regarding the standard of the question paper. Roshni of Munger, Kharagpur, who passed the first shift examination from Marwari Pathshala, said that the statement-reason based questions were difficult and their level seemed to be of an examination like BPSC. According to Gautam, Sonal and Pinky, overall the question paper was of moderate level. He told that 14 to 15 questions were asked from current affairs, in which the focus was on national and international events. Questions like the Prime Minister of France, Nobel Prize and the full name of AIDS were included.

Rani, Suhana and Dimple, who came out of the district school after giving the second shift examination, described the questions as relatively difficult. Eight to nine questions were asked from Bihar special, which included questions related to Champaran Satyagraha, literacy rate of Bihar, Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Mission, Silk Industry, Jarawa Tribe and schemes of the state government. The opinion of most of the candidates regarding Mathematics section was positive. Vimalendu Nath of Pakur said that the questions related to cylinder, profit-loss and polymer were of easy to moderate level and proved to be scoring.

The candidate lodged in Munger jail gave the inspector exam.

Prince Kumar, who was lodged in Munger jail, appeared for the entrance examination for sub-inspector recruitment in the first shift at Mokshada Girls High School Centre. After the exam he told that his paper went well. He said that he was preparing for the exam while in jail. However, he did not reveal in which case he is in jail. According to Prince Kumar, the questions asked in the examination were easy.
