Deputy CM Vijay Sinha's strong attack on illegal mining, even guilty officers and personnel will not be spared.

State Bureau, Patna. Deputy Chief Minister cum Mines and Geology Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has adopted a strict stance on illegal mining, illegal transportation and all related matters and said that no one will be spared, whoever is guilty. He instructed the officers to identify all such cases seriously and ensure that the strictest action is taken against the culprits.

Minister Sinha made it clear in blunt words that if any officer or employee of the department is found involved in illegal activities, then legal action will be taken against him also. No one will be given protection.

He also said that the department should provide full cooperation to the court in cases related to illegal mining and transportation. All records, evidence and facts should be presented in the court in a timely, transparent and responsible manner, so that the culprits can be given strict punishment.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that preliminary investigation has indicated that an organized gang is behind illegal mining, which is causing serious loss to the revenue of the state government by carrying out such activities in a planned manner. Strict action will be taken against all such elements.

He also warned that the state government is working on a policy of zero tolerance against illegal mining and any laxity in this will not be tolerated.
