RJD said, strong and magnificent Bihar residence is being demolished out of jealousy of Lalu
State Bureau, Patna. Describing the Bihar Niwas in Delhi as still strong and magnificent, RJD has termed the decision to demolish it and build a new building as a political conspiracy. Shakti Singh Yadav, chief spokesperson of the party's Bihar unit, alleges that this is happening due to the frustrated mentality of the Nitish government and jealousy towards RJD and Lalu. This building was built in the year 1994, when Lalu Prasad used to be the Chief Minister.
He said that there is a stone slab in his name in the portico. A new building will be built to erase it and fill the pockets of favorite contractors, whereas recently Bihar Niwas has been beautified by spending two crore rupees. It has luxurious suites for the Governor and the Chief Minister. This building can remain standing firmly for the next 50-60 years. Due to being at a height, there is no problem of water logging here.
'Water started dripping from Bihar Sadan'
Shakti alleges that water has started dripping from Bihar Sadan built by Nitish Kumar in Delhi itself. No one wants to go there. Today Bihar is in debt of more than three lakh crores. Every person in the state is a debtor of Rs 25 thousand. 62 crore rupees are being taken from the treasury every day and about 28 thousand crore rupees every year are being spent on paying interest. Where is the justice in wasting the hard earned money of such a poor state just to satisfy one's jealousy?
'...so that Nitish can make his name shine'
He further said that Bihar Bhavan is much older than Bihar Niwas, but it is not being touched because there is no stone slab in Lalu's name there. More than Rs 500 crore will be wasted by demolishing a grand and strong building just so that Nitish Kumar can make his name shine.
Shakti said that the state of complacency and haste is such that a plaque in Nitish's name has also been hung on the same wall. The warning is that no one will even take Nitish's name. If anyone installs his statue in Patna, it will be Lalu's son.
