Samvad Sutra, Gunnaur (Sambhal). Due to reduced visibility in dense fog, the bike collided with a helpless animal standing on the middle of the road on the Agra-Moradabad highway. Two youths were seriously injured in the accident. With the help of the ambulance that reached the spot, both of them were taken to Gunnaur Community Health Centre. After first aid from there, seeing the serious condition of a young man, the doctor referred him to a higher centre.
The accident happened when Karru, resident of village Udaybhanpur of Gunnaur Kotwali area, along with his cousin Neeraj were returning to their village from Gunnaur on a bike on Friday evening. As soon as he reached the highway near village Jagannathpur, due to dense fog, his bike collided with a helpless animal standing on the middle of the road. The collision was so severe that both the youth jumped from the bike and fell on the road and were seriously injured.
Injured were taken to hospital
On receiving information from passers-by, 108 ambulance arrived and took both the injured to Gunnaur Community Health Centre. After first aid, the doctor described Karru's condition as critical and referred him to a higher centre, while Neeraj's treatment is continuing at the CHC. After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos on the highway for some time. Local people have demanded the administration to arrest the stray animals roaming on the highway during the foggy season, citing them as the cause of accidents.
