Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. A bike rider who was hit by a container on the highway in Jajmau on Friday night died a painful death. In the incident, he got trapped in the vehicle and was dragged for a long distance.
Jajmau police reached the information and got him taken out and sent him to Kashiram Hospital for treatment, by then he had died. Meanwhile, the truck driver fled from the spot. Police have taken possession of the truck.
35-year-old Anil Kumar, son, resident of Jhabbupurwa village of Ganga Ghat, Unnao, used to work as a laborer. On Friday night, he had left for home from Ramadevi via Jajmau flyover.
During this time, in front of Nasir Hospital in Jajmau, the handle of Anil's bike got stuck in the rear part of the container, due to which he went out of control and got hit by the tire of the container.
In the incident, it got stuck in its tire and kept dragging for about 20 meters. At the same time, on getting information about the accident, the container driver ran away from there. After this, on the information of passers-by, Jajmau police reached the spot.
The deceased's elder brother Prabhu Lal told that Anil's family consists of wife Sukhi and three daughters Shivani, Mansi, Nancy and son Shivam.
In this case, Jajmau police station in-charge said that the body was sent for post-mortem. The station in-charge said that the relatives of the deceased were contacted on the basis of the bike number. After which he reached the police station. Told that a case would have been registered on his complaint.
