Angered by calling Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu a traitor, BJP leaders and workers demonstrated in front of the Congress headquarters.

Angered by senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi calling Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu a traitor, BJP leaders and workers protested near the Congress party headquarters. All of them were trying to reach the Congress Party headquarters on Akbar Road, but the police, with great effort, stopped them and took them into custody.
The protesters were raising slogans like 'Sikh is Sardar, Rahul Gandhi is a traitor'. Before this, the protesting BJP workers gathered on Mansingh Road. Under the leadership of State President Virendra Sachdeva, MP Yogendra Chandolia, National Spokesperson Sardar RP Singh, MLA Sardar Tarvinder Singh Marwah, State Minister Sardar Impreet Singh Bakshi, Sikh Cell Convenor Sardar Charanjit Singh Lovely and many other officials, the workers broke two police barricades and moved towards the Congress headquarters on Akbar Road, but the heavy police force deployed at the third barricade stopped them and took them into custody. Later everyone was released from Sansad Marg police station.
Addressing the protesters, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that Rahul Gandhi has expressed hatred towards his family and the party's Sikhs by calling Ravneet Singh Bittu a traitor. Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi's family considered Sikhs as traitors even in 1984 and even today, this sentiment comes out of Rahul Gandhi's mouth.
Tarvindra Singh Marwah said that Rahul Gandhi has not just abused one minister but the entire Sikh community who have sacrificed for the country. He alleged that Congress's hands were stained with blood even in 1984 and its thinking remains the same even today in 2026. Rahul Gandhi is working at the behest of foreign powers and speaking their language.
Sikh cell convenor Sardar Charanjit Singh Lovely said that Rahul Gandhi and the entire Congress party have always been enemies of the Sikh community. Be it the Sikh riots of 1984 or other religious events, the dignity of the Sikh society has always been violated.
