Digital Desk, New Delhi. Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed that its 'Operation Herof' against the Pakistani Army has not stopped yet. This continues for the sixth consecutive day.
Baloch rebels rejected the statement of Pakistani Army in this regard and termed it as propaganda. The second phase of 'Operation Herof' was launched by the BLA last Saturday in Pakistan's Balochistan province, in which Pakistani army and police forces are being targeted.
In Baloch language the word 'Herof' means black storm. This claim was made in a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jiyand Baloch on Thursday. Jeyand said that 'Operation Hereof' continues with strength and success.
BLA did not announce closure
Claims by the Pakistani government or the military's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) regarding the end of the operation are false. BLA has not announced its closure.
ISPR on Thursday claimed the end of its campaign against insurgents in Balochistan, Radh al-Fitna, and said 216 insurgents, 36 civilians and 22 security personnel were killed.
Whereas BLA spokesperson Jiyand had claimed that in the operation going on for the last five days, Baloch rebels killed 310 soldiers of Pakistani Army. BLA fighters continue to hold control over various locations in the province and have thwarted efforts by Pakistani forces on several fronts.
Baloch leader called international community
Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch has invited the international community and global media, including the UN Security Council, European Parliament members, human rights organizations and OIC member states, to Balochistan to see the ground reality that Pakistan is hiding.
He mentioned human rights violations of people in the area. Mir has urged Norway not to host Pakistani leaders. Former caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwar ul Haq Kakkar and Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti are scheduled to visit the country on February 15-17.
