Blood donation camp at Ram Thakur Ashram in Durgapur, disabled person gets tricycle
Samvad Sahayak, Jagran, Benachiti: A blood donation camp was organized under the aegis of Ram Thakur Ashram on Saturday at Sido-Kanhu Stadium located in City Center of Durgapur. A total of 58 units of blood were collected in this camp, which was handed over to Durgapur Sub-Divisional Hospital. Organizers say that this blood will prove helpful in saving the lives of many patients during emergency treatment in future. Along with the blood donation camp, today's program also witnessed a humanitarian initiative. About two years ago, a young man's leg was amputated in a road accident in Gandhi Mod area. Due to physical disability, the young man was currently forced to live by begging. On receiving information about his pitiful condition, a tricycle was presented to him by Ram Thakur Ashram. With this help, the young man will now be able to move independently and will be able to take a new step towards a respectable life. Local people greatly appreciated this spirit of service of Ram Thakur Ashram.
