Keshav Tyagi, Hapur. A minor dispute that started over playing cricket in village Ubarpur of Hafizpur police station area turned into a violent clash on Sunday evening. During this, there was fierce fighting with sticks and stones between the two parties, in which many people including a woman were injured.
In view of the tense situation in the village after the incident, police force has been deployed. The police have registered a report against ten named and some unidentified people from both sides and arrested four accused, while the search for others is going on.

In the report filed in the police, Sub Inspector Satyaveer Singh said that at around 5.30 pm on Sunday evening, village head Subhash Chand informed that there was a fight between two parties over playing cricket in the field located near Dada Vidhichand temple of the village. After some time, around 6 pm, both the parties again came face to face near a house in Lohar Chowk of the village and soon fighting with sticks and stones started.
When the police team reached the spot on information, a huge crowd had gathered at Lohar Chowk. People from both sides were attacking each other. During this time, Sanjay, Gopal, Ajay, Vijay, Krishna and some unknown people including Seemar, Mujahid, Anas, Furkan, Sonu from the other side were beating and pelting stones.
During the fight, a woman named Kaushar, who was selling vegetables nearby, got injured after being hit by stone pelting, and the police sent her to the hospital for treatment. The police reached the spot and tried to convince both the parties, but no one listened.
Seeing the fight escalating, additional police force was called. Seeing the police force coming, people from both sides fled from the spot. In view of this dispute between two communities, police force has been deployed in the village as a precautionary measure.
Hafizpur police station in-charge Praveen Kumar said that on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Satyaveer Singh, a case has been registered against ten named and some unknown accused from both the parties. Police have arrested Sanjay, Gopal, Mujahid and Sonu. Raids are being conducted to search for other absconding accused. Soon he will also be arrested.
