Bloody Game In Pipli Forest Of Rampur: Smuggler Shot Dead, Questions Raised On Forest Personnel Too

Dialogue Associate, Jagran, Swar (Rampur). There was a sensation when the bullet-ridden body of a youth was found in Peepli forest of Milkkhanam area on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Paramjeet Singh alias Pamma, resident of village Chandela of Bilaspur Kotwali area. It was told that Paramjeet Singh was missing since Sunday evening. Relatives were busy searching for him.

On Monday morning, his body was found lying in the forest of Amberpur Beat No. 11 located in Pipli Forest of Milkkhanam police station area. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and sent the body to the district hospital for post-mortem. Preliminary investigation has found bullet injury marks on the youth's leg. There is suspicion of murder due to this. As soon as the information about the dead body was received, a crowd of nearby villagers gathered in the forest area.

The deceased's maternal uncle Shyam Singh has alleged that some youth from the village had taken him away from home. Information was taken from him when he did not return home. But, a satisfactory answer was not given. A complaint will be filed with the police regarding the incident. Police station incharge Nisha Khatana said that the matter is being investigated. The investigation is being carried forward keeping all the aspects in mind. The accused will not be spared.

Terror of smugglers of Khair wood in Peepli forest

Thousands of hectares of Peepli forest spread in Milkkhanam area has been under terror of Khair wood smugglers for a long time. Incidents of firing between smugglers and forest personnel have already come to light. In such a situation, many questions are being raised regarding this murder. More than 12 cases of smuggling of Khair wood are said to be registered against the deceased Paramjeet Singh in Milakkhanam and Bilaspur police stations.

For this reason, it is feared that he may have died in an encounter or a dispute between smugglers. It is suspected that he may have been shot in an encounter with forest personnel. On the other hand, it is also suspected that he lost his life in mutual firing over some dispute or sharing of shares between smugglers. However, no point has been officially confirmed yet. Police say that the situation regarding the cause of death will become clear only after the post-mortem report comes.

Screaming in the family

The deceased is survived by his wife and three children. The eldest is a daughter, while there are two younger sons. The children are crying badly after seeing their father's dead body. There is mourning in the village.
