Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. People of Brahmin community have lodged a written complaint in Dhanbad police station regarding the title of the film 'Ghooskhor Pandit'. The complaint alleges that the title of the film is likely to hurt the sentiments of the Brahmin community.
JC Mallik Road resident and mayor candidate Mukesh Kumar Pandey has applied in this regard to Dhanbad police station in-charge on Monday. The application states that associating the entire society with a negative word like bribery is objectionable.
There is anger among the people of the society due to this title and they are mentally hurt. In the complaint, a case has been registered against the producer, director and related artists of the film under relevant sections and necessary action has been taken.
Besides, an appeal has also been made to ban the screening of the film. Police have said that further action will be taken after investigating the matter. However, Netflix India had informed the Delhi High Court on February 10 that the name of Manoj Bajpayee starrer "Ghushkhor Pandit" would be changed.
