Jagran correspondent, Jaipur. The Border Security Force (BSF) will conduct Operation Cold Wind from January 22 to 29 on the India-Pakistan international border adjacent to Rajasthan. The operation will be conducted in Jaisalmer, Barmer and Sriganganagar districts of Rajasthan adjacent to the border.

During this period, along with increasing the number of BSF soldiers on the international border, senior officers will also do patrolling. There is always a possibility of cross-border infiltration, drug smuggling and other illegal activities taking advantage of the extreme cold, dense fog and low visibility in the month of January. In such a situation, Operation Sard Hawa is conducted by BSF every year in the month of January around the Republic Day.

According to the information, the number of soldiers near the fencing will be increased from 22 to 29 January. The soldiers deployed in headquarters and offices will be deployed on the border. The soldiers will ride on camels and closely examine the footprints in the desert of Jaisalmer and Barmer. Soldiers will also be deployed in the sand dunes.

In view of the dense fog in the border districts, the use of night vision cameras and thermal imagers has also been increased. Along with BSF, police will also intensify patrolling in the border districts. There will also be joint patrolling by BSF soldiers and policemen.
