Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. A horrific road accident took place on the elevated road of Ghaziabad at around 11 am on Thursday morning. A Municipal Corporation's water tanker was standing near the Rotary Roundabout when a car coming at a high speed from behind collided with it.
The impact of the collision was so tremendous that the car went out of control on the spot, overturned several times and remained upside down on the road. The driver of the car was seriously injured in the accident.
Local people immediately pulled him out and took him to the nearest hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Police said that the tanker was parked on the roadside, but probably because it was not at the right place, the accident happened.
Police reached the spot and took control of the traffic and removed the overturned car with the help of a crane. The case is being investigated. Due to this accident, there was a jam situation on the elevated road for some time.
