In Mundkati police station area of Palwal, police have recovered 1 kg 155 grams of ganja leaves from a car and arrested a drug smuggler.
Jagran correspondent, Palwal. One kilogram and 155 grams of ganja leaves were recovered from a drug smuggler traveling in a car in Mundkati police station area. The accused arrested on the spot has been identified as Laxman, a resident of Kaluka. A case has been registered at Mundkati police station and investigation has been started.
The incident occurred on the evening of January 16, 2026, when the police team was patrolling on National Highway 19 near Nangla Ahsanpur village. During patrolling, the team got information that Laxman, a resident of Kaluka, was coming towards Palwal with ganja in his car.
Blockade was done on the basis of information. The suspicious car was stopped after about 10-15 minutes. The driver told his name as Laxman, but did not show any identity card. During the search, Laxman himself took out a bag from under the passenger seat of the car, which contained ganja leaves.
The weight of ganja was found to be 1 kilogram and 155 grams. After this the police registered the case. The network and other possible crimes of the accused are being investigated.
