Jagran correspondent, Sahibganj. The CBI team investigating illegal mining continued its investigation here for the third day. Some people were also interrogated on Thursday. However, the main focus so far is on scrutiny of documents. CBI is matching the data of stone production and dispatch. It is tallying how much production was done in which stone mine and how much was dispatched.

If sources are to be believed, many stone traders took lease of stone mines but in the name of lease, they mined stones illegally in nearby mines and sold them on valid invoices. It is being told that many stone traders became millionaires through this method also. Now CBI can get their stone mines measured. On the other hand, cases were registered against many people in the past on charges of illegal mining on Lemon Mountain. Some people were also sent to jail. In such a situation, CBI can interrogate those people.

CBI is investigating even at night

CBI is continuously investigating since Wednesday. On the first day, he took stock of the ship seized by ED in Samda and inspected the lemon mountain and on the second day he reached the mining office and conducted investigation. Also interrogated some people. Meanwhile, CBI officers are going out and investigating even at night. It is being told that the CBI team inspected areas like Mirzachowki, Kotalpokhar at night. However, no one is ready to say anything about this.

Reviewed the lease paper for the year 2022

On Friday, CBI officials reached Sanjay Yadav's mine located on Gadwa mountain of Sakrigali and conducted investigation. District Mining Officer KK Kisku was also with him. The team took stock of the stone mine in the presence of Sanjay Yadav and interrogated him about many things. Sanjay Yadav said that the lease of the stone mine was canceled in the year 2022. The CBI team also saw the documents related to the lease.

It is being told that the CBI team had also gone to the house of Rajesh Yadav alias Dahu Yadav but due to no one living in the house, CBI could not interrogate anyone. It is being told that along with some big stone businessmen, Sadar SDO Amar Jan Aind was also called for questioning. A five-member team of CBI is investigating in different detachments.

One team is going out with the Mining Officer to investigate the mines while the other team is also interrogating the people called for questioning in the Circuit House itself. The CBI team reached the mining office till late evening and examined the documents. Till the time of writing the news, a CBI team was present in the mining office.

It is known that a five-member CBI team under the leadership of DSP Kuldeep Kumar Singh reached here late on Tuesday evening to investigate the illegal mining case worth Rs 1250 crore in Simaria Mauza (Nimbupahad) of Mandro area.
