Raipur EOW has collected documents related to Prem Prakash. Raipur EOW had handed over all the documents related to its case along with its recommendations to the CBI headquarters in Delhi.
All the accused sent to jail through Jharkhand ACB are under investigation.
All the accused who have been arrested and sent to jail by Jharkhand ACB, which is investigating the liquor scam case in Jharkhand, are currently the target of Raipur EOW. Everyone's statement is going on there one by one.
Recently, Raipur EOW had taken Chunnu Jaiswal, the operator of a local liquor supply company, on remand and interrogated him. Other accused have also been interrogated in the past. All these accused will also be under investigation by CBI. CBI can also interrogate all of them.
ED is investigating Raipur EOW case under PML Act.
In the Raipur EOW case, ED Ranchi had started investigation under the PML Act in the year 2024 itself. ED had accused the then Principal Secretary of Excise and Prohibition Department Vinay Kumar Choubey, the then Joint Commissioner of Excise Gajendra Singh and others.
After this, ED raided the hideouts of all the concerned on 29 October 2024. In this raid, documents related to Jharkhand's product policy (based on the model of Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited in January 2022), hologram samples of Prism Company, two iPhones, other mobiles etc. were recovered.
It is alleged that the then Excise Secretary and other officials along with Chhattisgarh officials had planned and held a meeting in Raipur to change the excise policy in Jharkhand in January 2022.
It is also alleged that after the implementation of the excise policy, Chhattisgarh agencies continued to work under the Jharkhand excise policy for two years. Loss worth crores was caused to the Jharkhand government by supplying fake holograms and illegal liquor. ED's investigation is going on, now CBI will investigate these points under the Anti-Corruption Act.
