Center Eyes Bihar's NH And ROB Projects; Tender Not Done After Approval, Will Gadkari's Approval Be Given?

List of approved NH projects sent.

State Bureau, Patna. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH) is now eyeing those projects and ROBs of Bihar which were approved long ago but their tender has not been done till now.

MORTH has sent a list of projects related to Bihar to the Road Construction Department on which a high-level meeting will be held in the presence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

In the list of projects which MORTH has sent to the Road Construction Department, the first number is the construction of Rail Over Bridge between Muktapur and Kishanganj on Samastipur-Darbhanga Road.

Due to changes in the nature of construction of this ROB, the construction is not progressing. The second case is of construction of bypass from Mangobandar, Kendua, Jhajha, Narganjo to Bihariganj from 72nd km to 134th km under NH 333A.

This road is stuck due to lack of financial approval for the first phase. The width of this road has also been reduced.

Four lane road from Bhagalpur to Dhaka Mod is also in the list.

One case is of construction of 36.6 km four lane road from Bhagalpur to Dhaka Mod. This project has also not yet received financial approval for the first phase.

The matter of construction of a bridge is also pending in Kinjar of Arwal district. Construction of a mega bridge in Bhagalpur is also awaiting financial approval for the first phase.

A four lane ROB in Musrigharari-Darbhanga section has also not been put to tender yet. Construction of bypass in Katihar is also approved but due to change in alignment the proposal is being changed.
