Haryana correspondent, Charkhi Dadri. The body of a monk was found hanging from the fan in Redhudas temple located in Pandawan village of the district. The village sarpanch informed the police about this incident, after which the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem.
The deceased sadhu was a resident of Hisar district.
In the initial investigation, Sadhu's death is being seen as suicide. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Ramdiya, 43, originally a resident of Kauth Kalan in Hisar district. He was unmarried and had adopted the life of an ascetic.
Committed life by hanging himself from a fan in the temple
Ramdiya used to visit temples built at different places and stay for a few days. For the last two and a half months, he was living in Redhudas temple located near Johar in Pandawan. There, under suspicious circumstances, he hanged himself from the fan in the room.
On receiving the information, the relatives of the deceased reached Dadri Civil Hospital, where on Sunday, after completing the paperwork, the police got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to them. During this time, Mahants of camps from many places also reached the Civil Hospital.
Police registered a case and started investigation
Investigating officer HC Pradeep Kumar said that the statement of the deceased's brother Dalbir has been recorded. The sadhu died under suspicious circumstances, investigation of which is ongoing.
