JNN, Raigarh. Due to the dispute arising between the transporters of Chhattisgarh and Odisha regarding freight, loading and recovery, the local police has completely sealed the Hamirpur Taparia border.
As a result of this decision, coal transportation has been banned, due to which about a thousand truck-trailers going towards Raigarh from both the states have been parked in the border areas.
Recently, transporters from Odisha had beaten up some goods vehicle drivers from Chhattisgarh at Hamirpur border, resulting in looting of Rs 15,000 and taking hostage.
Tamnar police station in-charge Kamla Pusan reached the spot and freed the hostages. After this, a crime has been registered against five people including Bunty Dalmiya and others. In view of the situation, the police administration has sealed the border as a precautionary measure.
