Jagran correspondent, South Delhi. "Modi uncle, I am seven years old and I like to play with my friends, but I am not able to go out to play. Please do something. Sir, my son has asthma, his problem has increased due to pollution since last one month. Delhi has become a gas chamber, you are requested to take necessary action immediately." 'Take Real Action' campaign has been started by common citizens regarding pollution. Under this, letters are being sent to the government appealing for immediate action on air pollution and cutting of trees.

Initiative to safeguard health and future

The aim of this campaign is to fix accountability for pollution, take concrete steps and create a platform to work together. People say that clean air is not a special right, it is a basic need. The situation is serious in many states including Delhi-NCR, in such a situation, immediate steps should be taken to safeguard the health and future of the people.

Government should take cooperation of citizens on pollution

Our demand is that the government should declare a public health emergency in the affected areas and immediately prepare an action plan to deal with pollution and implement it. It has also been suggested that the government should take cooperation of citizens on pollution and form a multi-state citizen committee.
