State Bureau, Patna. During Bihar Police Week, a mass parade cum annual prize distribution ceremony was organized at Mithilesh Stadium, Bihar Special Armed Police- 5 on Tuesday. On this occasion, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary inspected the religious parade (march past) and took the salute.

On this occasion, a total of eight contingents including Special Task Force Bihar Patna, Bihar Special Armed Police (Gorkha Vahini), Bihar Anti-Riot Corps, Bihar Swabhiman Special Armed Force, Bihar Special Armed Police, Mahila Sasaram marched past.

During the program, the Chief Minister honored the police officers doing excellent work along with the common citizens who cooperated with the police. The Chief Minister also presented the citation given by the Central Government to Darbhanga Nagar Police Station for being a special police station, to the concerned police officer.

During the prize distribution, among the police officials, Gaya SSP Sushil Kumar, Police Sub Inspector Anirudh Kumar and the wife of late Bishwa Oraon were honored with certificates.

Mohd. of Rohtas, a common citizen, for discharging his duty and bravery. Akhtar Ansari and Shri Omprakash Pandey, Amit Kumar and Anand Madhav Mishra of Begusarai district, Lakshmi Khatri of Bagaha district, Sunil Prasad, Utim Gaddi and Ravindra Kumar of East Champaran district, Raju Kamat of Madhubani district, Dr. Iqbal Hasan, Dheeraj Kumar Yadav and Aman Yadav of Darbhanga district were honored with civil citation.

DGP Vinay Kumar welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him a flower bunch and a memento. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, Secretary to Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh and other senior police officers and police personnel were present.
