CM Sai invites President Murmu for Bastar Pandum 2026

Digital Desk, Raipur/New Delhi. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai paid a courtesy call on President Mati Draupadi Murmu in New Delhi today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister invited the President to attend the state level tribal cultural festival 'Bastar Pandum 2026' to be organized in Chhattisgarh as the chief guest.

Chief Minister Sai informed the President about the rich tribal art, culture, traditions and folk life of Bastar region and said that Bastar Pandum is an important effort to preserve, promote and promote the tribal heritage of the state at the national and international level. This event will be organized in three phases, the last phase of which will conclude in Bastar in February 2026.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also informed the President about the overall development of tribal areas, education, health, livelihood, expansion of infrastructure and progress of public welfare schemes by the Chhattisgarh government. He said that the state government is continuously working to preserve the cultural identity of the tribal society while connecting it with the mainstream of development.

President Mati Draupadi Murmu appreciated this event related to tribal culture and extended best wishes for the successful organization of Bastar Pandum 2026.

It is noteworthy that through Bastar Pandum 2026, various cultural genres including folk dance, folk songs, traditional instruments, handicrafts, tribal cuisine, costumes will be widely displayed.
