Contractor hanged himself in office (symbolic picture)
Digital Desk, Bhopal. After falling into the trap of online aviator betting app, a debt-ridden contractor committed suicide by hanging himself. He had been betting online for a long time and had become addicted to it. Gradually he lost his savings. Besides, he also got stuck in the quagmire of debt by borrowing money from many people.
Troubled by this very thing, he left his house on Wednesday morning. Suspecting something untoward, his relatives called him several times throughout the day, but received no response. Friends also kept searching continuously. On Thursday morning, the colony guard saw him hanging in his office at Minal Shopping Street.
A suicide note has also been found from the deceased, in which he has written about committing suicide due to online gaming and getting into debt. Police have seized the suicide note and sent it for investigation. However, the police is investigating all aspects as the door of the office where his body was found was found open.
Used to take contracts of Railway-PWD
According to the police, 32-year-old Shivan Gupta lived in Sharda Nagar and was a contractor by profession. He used to take contracts of civil, railway and PWD. He had taken an office on rent near Minal Shopping Street with his cousin Adarsh. Shivan had been betting on the online Aviator betting app for a long time. He had lost around Rs 30 lakh on the app.
For this he had also taken loan from many relatives. He left home around 11 am on Wednesday morning. His friends and relatives called several times a day, but he did not respond. They also kept searching in the houses of close relatives even at night. On the other hand, at around 5:30 am on Thursday morning, the guard in the office located on Minal Shopping Street saw his body hanging and informed the police.

Mobile suicide note will be investigated
Police station in-charge Mahesh Lilhare said that the mobile phone of the deceased has been confiscated. Forensic examination of the mobile will be conducted. Besides, it is also being investigated on which platform the Aviator game was being played and how the money transactions took place in it. Cyber police help is being taken in this matter. Police are also investigating the suicide note.
