Conversion Cost Of Rs 2.32 Crore Released In Maharajganj, Mid-day Meal System Will Be Smooth.

Jagran correspondent, Maharajganj. There is a relief news for the children studying in council schools. After a long wait, the basic education department of the district has received the funds for conversion cast under the mid-day meal scheme run in primary and pre-secondary schools.

A total amount of Rs 2 crore 32 lakh 63 thousand 487 has been sent by the government, which will now facilitate providing mid-day meals to children in schools regularly.

According to the information received, out of this amount, an amount of Rs 1 crore 11 lakh 96 thousand 511 has been released for a total of 1.66 lakh children studying in primary schools.

This amount has been sent as Mid Day Meal Conversion Caste for the month of October. At the same time, an amount of Rs 1 crore 20 lakh 67 thousand 336 has been received from the government for 1.21 lakh children studying in upper primary schools.

Thus, overall more than 2.87 lakh children of the district will get the benefit of this amount. A total of 1710 council primary and upper primary schools are running in the district, where food is provided to children every day under the mid-day meal scheme.

Food arrangements in many schools were being affected due to non-receipt of conversion cast amount on time, but now teachers and cooks have got relief as the amount is available. District Basic Education Officer Riddhi Pandey said that the process of sending the funds received from the government to the accounts of the concerned schools is being completed soon.

He said that this will help in running the mid-day meal scheme smoothly and nutritious food can be provided to the children regularly.
