Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. Rohania and Sarnath police have achieved great success in the cough syrup case. The police of both the police stations have arrested five people in separate operations. Sarnath Police has registered a case of cough syrup smuggling against Vishnu Prakash Pandey a week ago.

According to sources, Vishnu has also been caught by the police. However, the police avoided answering any questions related to the action. Vishnu Prakash had ordered more than one lakh hundred ml vials from Prayagraj and Gorakhpur.

When the medical team of Prayagraj and Gorakhpur handed over the investigation to the team of Varanasi, the shortcomings in the investigation were exposed. Clear information was available about where the accused spent the goods. Even after calling the accused drug dealer on the number provided on the app, the drug department officials could not contact him.
