Now the Tehsil administration has completely freed it from possession. It is being told that there was about three thousand bighas of forest department land here and it was occupied by the nearby farmers. It is known as Chandan Van Khand. Now the forest department has taken possession of it.
On Saturday, Tehsildar Sadar Deepak Kumar Ujhani along with Kotwali, Kadarchowk police station and PAC reached Ganga ki Katri area of Chandanpur village of Kotwali area and got the forest department's land freed from encroachment by running a tractor there. During the action which lasted from afternoon till evening, about three thousand bighas of land was freed from encroachment.
It is being told that hundreds of farmers were in possession of this place for years and they were continuously growing their crops here. Just four days ago, the forest department team had tried to free it from encroachment at night. During this time, the villagers attacked the Forest Department team, due to which the team had to run away to save their lives.
In this regard, DFO Nidhi Chauhan met DM Avnish Kumar Rai. Then he ordered the Tehsil administration to go to the spot, investigate and free the land from encroachment. The Tehsil administration campaigned for two consecutive days and stood at the spot and freed the land from encroachment. In this regard, SDM Sadar Mohit Kumar also kept taking inputs continuously. Due to this the entire land could also be freed from encroachment.
Now the police will search for the attackers
On the orders of the DM, all the forest department land has been freed from encroachment, but the accused who attacked the forest department team have not been caught yet. Police claim that an operation has been started to search for them. For this, two police teams have been deployed, which are continuously locating the accused attackers.
The Forest Department had about three thousand bighas of land in Chandanpur village. He was completely freed from possession on Saturday. The Revenue Department has also acquired some land here.
