Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. On Monday night, miscreants beat up two teachers traveling in a car after they collided with a bike. Both the teachers were seriously injured in the attack, out of which the condition of one is critical. The injured are being treated in a private hospital in the city.
Gulriha police have registered a case of car vandalism, riot, assault and attempt to murder and arrested four accused. On Tuesday, he was produced in the court, from where he was sent to jail.
Shailendra Kumar, resident of Semra number two, has written in the complaint that his brother Satyendra, a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya, was returning home on Monday night after giving training in the school along with his friend Vijendra Patil, resident of Bichhiya. Two bike riders hit a car near Heritage Hospital in Harsevakpur number two.
After this an altercation started, which soon turned into a fight. It is alleged that the youth riding the bike made a phone call and called their four other companions. After this, everyone together vandalized the car with rods, hockey sticks, bricks and stones and beat both the teachers mercilessly.

Passersby informed the police on dial 112, after which the police reached the spot and sent the injured to the hospital. Both the teachers have suffered serious head injuries, while the condition of Satyendra Kumar is said to be critical.
CO Gorakhnath Ravi Kumar Singh said that Izhar, resident of Harsevakpur number 2 Hata Tola, Dilip, Suraj and Jairam, residents of Naria Tola, who were involved in the incident, were arrested on Tuesday morning. A complaint has also been given by the other party which is being investigated. Further action will be taken based on evidence.
