Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. On Monday, a woman also committed suicide by hanging herself from the same pond in Govind Nagar where her husband had committed suicide by hanging himself two years ago. According to her relatives, she was in depression after her husband's death and was also undergoing treatment.
Snehlata Verma, resident of Dabauli, lives on the second floor. Younger son Vijay Raj lives with his wife Deepali and daughter Lado on the ground floor. On the first floor, 37-year-old elder daughter-in-law Anjali lived with her daughter Adrika and son Rakshit. Vijay told that on Tuesday only his wife Deepali and sister-in-law Anjali were at home.
In the afternoon, when Deepali reached the terrace to spread the clothes, the door was locked from inside. Fearing something untoward might happen, he informed the police. When the policemen reached inside through the neighboring terrace, the body was found hanging from a hook in the room with the help of a dupatta.
According to Vijay, sister-in-law had an e-auto, whose driver had expired five days ago. She was worried about this also. Acting Govind Nagar police station in-charge Abhay Singh said that the woman was in depression after her husband committed suicide.
