Jagran correspondent, Vikasnagar. Cyber fraud worth lakhs of rupees was done across the country through SIM cards sold from Vikasnagar. When the complaints related to SIM cards were investigated through the National Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP), it came to light that these SIM cards were sold from Vikasnagar.
The investigation was handed over to Vikas Nagar Kotwali Police by the Cyber Crime Police Station. Preliminary investigation revealed that these SIM cards were sold from Sajal Communication, Vikasnagar. In this case, a case has been registered against Sajal Aggarwal, the operator of Sajal Communication in Kotwali Vikasnagar.
According to the police, an application was received from Cyber Crime Police Station, Dehradun on November 13, 2025 to investigate the sale of fake SIM cards. The role of water communication was found doubtful in this.
Investigation found that Sajal Aggarwal, resident of Church Road, Vikasnagar, has a shoe shop near Amar Sweets Shop. After Corona in the year 2022, he had taken BSNL SIMs from Chitra Telecom to sell.
Out of these, there were 18 SIM cards through which cyber fraud incidents were carried out. However, the shopkeeper told that at this time he does not know from whom these SIMs were taken.
Thus, in the complaints received on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and Cyber Financial Helpline Number, POS (Point of Sale) mobile numbers used for cyber financial fraud have been found to be from mobile communication.
Inspector Vinod Gusai, in-charge of Vikas Nagar police station, said that a case of fraud has been registered against the accused Sajal Aggarwal. The matter is being investigated seriously. Strict action will be taken against anyone found suspicious in the matter.
