In a village in Shambhuganj police station area of Banka district, villagers caught a loving couple in an objectionable position on the banks of Badua river. As soon as information about the incident was received, the girl's relatives also reached the spot. The relatives started raising their objections against the young man and accused him of forcibly raping the girl. When the situation became serious, the family informed the police.
After receiving the information, police station incharge Bablu Kumar and women police force reached the spot. Both the loving couple were taken into custody and brought to the police station. Even in the police station premises, the girl's relatives kept accusing youth Suraj Kumar. During this period there remained a tense situation between the two sides.
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, SDPO Amar Vishwas and women police station in-charge Jyotsna Kumari reached the police station and started investigating the matter. High voltage tension and allegations and counter-accusations continued between the two sides in the police station premises for about three hours.
SDPO Amar Vishwas said that legal action will be taken after receiving the written complaint of the girl. He also said that efforts are being made to convince both the parties in a peaceful manner, so that any untoward incident can be avoided.
